As per recent reports, it has been revealed that Volvo India, marching one step ahead towards its long-hankered dream of luring Indian customers, has launched its stunning entry level diesel variants of three of its existing models, namely S60, S80 and SUV-XC60.

The new variant dubbed as D3 was introduced in Delhi amid a massive fan-following.

With the inclusion of D3 in its existing fleet of landmark vehicles, Volvo is focusing on strengthening its promise and value proposal in India. As per reports, the 5-cylinder D3 turbo power house is an epitome of efficiency and silence and with amazing fuel efficiency and stumpy CO2 emission.

Volvo Auto India, the Chinese-owned Swedish carmaker, has made a world of amendments in its pricing technique by introducing affordable and low-priced variants of the three out of its four luxurious models that have been fascinating car lovers from all over the world ever since their launch.

In addition, it is also focused on rolling out an entry-level compact car which will be reportedly competing with the fearless likes of Audi India’s Q3 and BMW India Ltd’s X1.

Earlier on Wednesday, the company launched new variants of the S80 and S60 sedans as well as the XC60 sports utility vehicle was out there to get the drift, with all the vehicles driven by means of a powerful 2-litre diesel engine. The models are a minimum of Rs. 6 lakh less in cost when compared to the 2.4-litre diesel engine cars that are on sale in the nation.

“When I first came here some time (at the) end of July, I faced a lot of questions with regard to pricing as compared with other luxury brands”, the managing director of Volvo Auto India, Tomas Ernberg, revealed with a big grin. “We are introducing aggressive pricing strategy in our existing car line with new engines”.
