Leaders of Ethiopia and Nigeria Meet to Settle Bilateral Matters

President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan met Prime Minister of Ethiopia Meles Zenawi in order to discuss certain issues linked with both the nations.

The meeting has been observed as a step of advancement in creation of healthy relations between the two. The leader of Ethiopia had approached the investors from Nigeria to indulge into economic relations with the nation thereby resulting in economic prosperity of both the nations.

According to the revelation made by Mr. Jonathan, the meeting was very productive as both the nations agreed to enter into a deal to promote trade relations between the two. Apart from Ethiopia, the President also, visited other two nations namely Rwanda and Ghana in order to increase the trade relations with these countries of Africa.

As per Goodluck Jonathan, “We want to encourage economic ties with Ethiopia and we also invite Ethiopian businessmen to come and invest in Nigeria”. The authorities of the nations also discussed the situation prevailing in Somalia, Libya and Sudan along with the forthcoming African Union Summit.

Apart from having a meet with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, the President of Nigeria also met AU Commissioner, Jean Ping. Mr. Jonathan appreciated the commissioner for taking initiative to bring peace in the disturbed regions like Sudan and Somalia.
